A Prayer

While at work earlier this evening, I had a pretty unique customer. Maybe I should say a blessing of a customer. Long story short, she suffers from MS, which has gotten to the point of paralyzing one area of her body. She now must wear a leg brace and walks with a cane. With all the pressure being put on the opposite leg, the bone density has worn down, leaving one hip longer than the other. On top of that, a year ago, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through months of chemotherapy. Having a double mastectomy she has been clear, but goes back this month to make sure nothing has spread to her lymph nodes. While in mid conversation, something just told me to say a prayer for her right then and there. I silently did exactly that.

To see her suffer actually hurt. To see an older lady who is filled with life, to go through physical ailments saddens me. No one should ever have to suffer! At the same time, it makes me appreciative, for the fact that things could simply be worse.

I'm pretty sure God heard my prayer to help heal her. I admire her strength...God created a beautiful soldier!
