If You Can't Be.....

If you can't be the poet, be the poem
If you can't be the musician, be the music
If you can't be the artist, be the art
If you can't be the student, be the teacher
And if you can't be the teacher, be the student
If you can't receive love, be the love to give
If someone can't be the difference in your life, be the difference in someone else's life
If you can't be, then be the reciprocal of it

What Is Beautiful

Beautiful is a homeless person, with the richest soul
A dark cloudy sky, with tear drops of rain falling down, replenishing the earth
Beautiful is being kind to an enemy
Beautiful is seeing the beauty in a downfall
Seeing a person who has suffered many heart aches, giving unconditional love to human kind is beautiful
Beautiful is an open mind,
Beautiful is color blind,
Beautiful is love for all man kind
Beautiful is allowing the hand of the misfortunate touch your heart and soul
Beautiful is the eyes that pour out tears, yet smile to the world
Beautiful is imperfection
Beautiful is having the strength and compassion to forgive
To give, with no thoughts of receiving is beautiful
Beautiful is God
Beautiful is appreciating nature and inhaling it's essence
Animals are beautiful
The echoes of children's laughter is beautiful
The sound of an infant's cry is beautiful
The ability to see, touch, taste, smell and absorption of sound is beautiful
Intelligence is beautiful
The ability to be beside someone in silence, walk away yet feel it was the best of conversation is beautiful
Disagreement is beautiful
Being different and odd is beautiful
A mind is beautiful
Life is beautiful
You are beautiful

Nature's Beauty

Beauty is never perfection. True beauty is imperfection in itself. Night fall, so unpredictable, yet so breath taking. The sky is infinite, with infinite possibilities. A showing of a second chance to a possible tomorrow. Whatever good or bad has occurred today, let the night sky wash it all away; for tomorrow brings a clean slate, a new day.

There will always be light

At the end of a dark tunnel.
Through all the hard times, pain, throughout darkness, complexity....peeks a soft, curable light of easiness. For there is always hope, as long as we have faith.

Night time shadows

When you shine your radiant light, through my window in the middle of the dark night; you bring me a sense of serenity and peace. Moon, you are my lovely night light and I love you so!

A Prayer

While at work earlier this evening, I had a pretty unique customer. Maybe I should say a blessing of a customer. Long story short, she suffers from MS, which has gotten to the point of paralyzing one area of her body. She now must wear a leg brace and walks with a cane. With all the pressure being put on the opposite leg, the bone density has worn down, leaving one hip longer than the other. On top of that, a year ago, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through months of chemotherapy. Having a double mastectomy she has been clear, but goes back this month to make sure nothing has spread to her lymph nodes. While in mid conversation, something just told me to say a prayer for her right then and there. I silently did exactly that.

To see her suffer actually hurt. To see an older lady who is filled with life, to go through physical ailments saddens me. No one should ever have to suffer! At the same time, it makes me appreciative, for the fact that things could simply be worse.

I'm pretty sure God heard my prayer to help heal her. I admire her strength...God created a beautiful soldier!

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

A new life, a fresh start, turning over a new leaf. I've decided my blogs from here on out, will be different then before (of course in a good way). Reflections, simplicity, thoughts, love and what I find to be beautiful.

On that note, I found some photos I'd like to share

This is Adagio and I seriously do not consider him an ordinary feline. Have you ever seen the comic Calvin and Hobbes? Well that would be him and I! No no, we don't have full on conversations but I will tell you, the mischief, his way of communicating with me, to him de-boing my meals is enough for me to think that someone I know has been reincarnated into him. I miss him dearly and cannot wait for us to unite.

Captain Crunch throw back! Ah yes, the good ol memories of this cereal. However I can clearly remember this cereal tearing up the roof of my mouth.

The lovely guys I work with! For some reason or another, I prefer to hang out with guys rather than hang out with females. But don't get it twisted, I do have certain females I hang out with. It's a select few, but I enjoy their company!

Dominican potato salad! Don't knock it, until you try it. Once it hits your taste buds, you're going to want more.

Something so beautiful doesn't exist without a great creator.

Creativity/art lies within the eyes of the artist. If you can't be the artist, be the art.

Hummus with steamed snow peas and mushrooms. Yum!

A child's love is the purest and truest love. My God son, who is a splitting image of me inside and out. We are two peas in a pod. You can't compare a child's love to anything in this world.

Lost in deep thoughts. Sometime it is hard to surface when you're far below.

Pho! One word...YUMMY! If you're in the Bay Area, I highly recommend Dalat's in Downtown San Jose, by SJSU!

A mother's love!
I love Halloween! Step Poppa and I carved pumpkins together.

It's that time of year again...Christmas! But have people forgotten the true meaning and value of this day?

This is it. A picture is worth a thousand words. The only chance you can freeze a moment in time and look at it forever.
